It's an interesting trailer. The source material, from what I have read, is being approached from a very unique point. It's kinda an alternate take, which is conceivable if you have read the books. Maybe that was the only way to approach, since so much emphasis was put on how the rest of the story would be told. This way they open the door, anchored by two charismatic leads, and if it works...they can go a bunch of different ways with it. I have a bit of a 'purist' streak, and I LOVE The DT books and King very much...but I am open to this interpretation.

Then word broke that the film is a breezy hour and a half long. For a saga that has bested would-be directors from J.J. Abrams to Howard, that’s not a lot of time to cram in Stephen King’s decades-long saga. Lastly, the studio has not allowed any press screenings for critics … which is never a good sign.
