Nah, I see him getting backstabbed(lierally) by Silver. They still have to resolve the Mrs. Flint/Urca storylines...but I have to think Flint follows Gates into the unknown before next season is done. Anyone besides me think that, as a boy(and like the other boy with the scar tattoo) unsavory things were done to him by the guy Snake Plissken fought in Escape from New York? I mean...really unsavory.

hmm...good point.

I figured the priest was going to off her in some manner, but that may have just been a one off storyline to show her power and influence.

Silver may not stab him himself, he's probably smart enough to manipulate someone else into doing it for him, and stepping into the hierarchy.

Well the priest was already off doing that self flagellating sermon in the cornfields so I would imagine he is going to do what most zealots do and turn his guilt into a witchhunt for her. And yeah, Silver is a little too slick to get his hands dirty, so yeah you are probably right. Once they get that treasure that is when all bets are off.

Billy Bones definitely ain't dead, so I'm hoping he shows up, finds out what Flint did to Gates AND THEN TEARS HIS HEART OUT BECAUSE GATES WAS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER, YOU BASTARDS!

I also am warming up to Silver as well. I absolutely hated him at first. He was weaselly, but not a fun weasel like Rackham is.

Was there any announcement about how many episodes are in Season 2? I'm going to need more than 8 episodes, please and thank you.

I wouldn't expect more than another 8. The show is clearly expensive and they greenlit #2 befroe 1 even aired. If they do expand it would likely come in s3, if they get there. Really hard to judge the success of the show because Starz doesn't go real public with their ratings, but I THINK it's doing well. The premiere set a record(for Starz) so if the ratings held that should bode well. It's pretty simple, most Starz shows don't tend to make it past season 3. If this one does it may follow Spartacus as one of the longer running shows.

So is Randall a genius, or is he just a one legged, gassy halfwit?

I only put up with it because of Spader, as I've developed a very strange affinity for him that's a bit unsettling. If not for him I wouldn't keep watching.

Ha, normally I can't stand Spader, but The Blacklist is just the perfect vehicle for his smarminess.

Over the course of time I have come to realize that when you can't stand someone due to smarminess it usually means they are doing terrific work. Case in point, David Morse...although the flip side to that is Bradley Cooper. Nevermind.

Good sign moving forward. If Starz is going to put the time/money/effort into pimping Black Sails @ SDCC(again) then it should bode well for the future. I think of all the Starz shows, this'un has a good chance of catching on in the Dvd/Blu sails(sorry, had to). I know I am buying it. This is off campus and at night, but I gotta make a strong effort to go regardless of how freaking tired I am.

I'm two episodes behind and rooting for it to be cancelled so I don't have to watch it next season. Maybe this new blood will help, but they also need to lose one or two of the high school kids at the same time. I honestly don't care which one or two.
