We?ve also got character bios for a few new characters joining the saga this season:
? Kalf (Ben Robson) ? Lagertha?s young, handsome second in command. She is fond of him and trusts him to look after her affairs while she is away, but it is possible that Kalf is more ambitious and calculating than he appears.
? Harbard (Kevin Durand) ? A wanderer who turns up unexpectedly in Kattagat when Ragnar and most of the men of the town are away raiding. Harbard will have a profound effect on Queen Aslaug, Siggy and Helga, all of whom have had the same dream, presaging his arrival.
? Emperor Charles of France (Lothaire Bluteau) ? A complex, troubled and powerful man who views battling the Vikings as spiritual and earthly.
? Princess Gisla (Morgane Polanski) ? The daughter of Emperor Charles and a beautiful, young woman of considerable courage and resolution.
Here?s the official synopsis for Vikings season three:
Season three of HISTORY?s hit scripted drama series VIKINGS returns onThursday, February 19 at 10 p.m. ET. The new 10-episode season begins with Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) as King and follows the great responsibility that now rests on the shoulders of the former farmer.
With the promise of new land from the English, Ragnar leads his people to an uncertain fate on the shores of Wessex. King Ecbert (Linus Roache) has made many promises and it remains to be seen if he will keep them. But ever the restless wanderer, Ragnar is searching for something more ? and he finds it in the mythical city of Paris. Rumored to be impenetrable to outside forces, Ragnar and his band of Norsemen must come together to break down its walls and cement the Vikings legend in history.
The gripping family saga of Ragnar, Rollo (Clive Standen), Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) continues as alliances and loyal friendships are questioned, faith is catechized and relationships are strained. VIKINGS tells the extraordinary tales of the lives and epic adventures of these warriors and portrays life in the Dark Ages, a world ruled by raiders and explorers, through the eyes of Viking society.

I think they swapped Bjorns...

I decided to start taping season 1 of the musketeers on bbca. 3 episodes in and I gotta say I like it! A bit humorous, a bit nostalgia sword and gun fun, and a bit more of peter capaldi (so far). It's no Kiefer Sutherland/Charlie sheen musketeers but it's some fun

OOOf. Just saw an ad fro Glee...on Hulu. Wow, what happened. They burned the **** out of that. I mean, they were at Comicon with that. And now, with fox giving them a mercy final season, have been moved to the wasteland of Friday nights. WOW. That was almost as drastic as the fall of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

POI awesome tonight, but... no spoilers.

Agent Carter first ep was really good. Watching Ep 2 now.

Sunday night I binged on the last 2 eps of THE MISSING before I realized that the finale' would be OnDemand.

So, I watched. Gonna have to amend my end of the year "Best Of' list. Not gonna spoil because the finale' is scheduled for this Sunday(if you don't have OnDemand) but...

This was a terrific show. I look forward to a new case/season as long as the same writers are involved.

USA cancels 'Covert Affairs' after five seasons
http://insidetv.ew.com/2015/01/06/covert-affairs-canceled/

Anyone gonna notice?

Well, I'll notice. The show finally went from being hit or miss to actually being good the last season and a half. And it was fun when they had episodes where they went to Copenhagen and Buenos Aires and I could recognize places I saw. It did get annoying how the blind guy did not show any effects of being blind.

Now the only show left on USA I watch is Graceland.

In other news, I have seen the commercial on Fox for Backstrom about 50 times and I never realized that it was Dwight Shrute until a newspaper article told me.

I'll try Agent Carter on the weekend.

Empire Review: Fox?s Midseason Drama Says Watch The Throne
http://collider.com/empire-review-terrence-howard/

Soooooooo not in the demo for this...but it looks really good. Terrence Howard is CRIMINALLY underrated.

Not for my demo either but we gave it a shot. I came close to asking for a channel change after about 5 minutes, but then Taraji's character got out of prison and saved the day. She knows how to work it, and has by far the best role.

This show is campy, I just can't with the hair and clothes on Terrence Howard, and they threw down every cliche that could possibly fit the setting. I still found it entertaining, because Taraji said/did some hilarious things and mostly because I have low standards. Lee Daniels said it well when he called it Black Dynasty, and here's the best part of the episode as your proof....
