So apparently my On Demand that I used to watch True Detective has the full run of pretty much every HBO show from the last 20 years, plus Cinemax and Showtime even though I don't subscribe to them. So the question is, what do I watch?
From various people's yappings, I think I am most interested in Band Of Brothers, Boardwalk Empire, Deadwood, The Pacific, The Sopranos, Banshee, House Of Lies, and Penny Dreadful. There are also a few shows on Starz, but they only have the second season of Black Sails. Yes, I never saw the Sopranos, but I am leaning away from it because it has 100 episodes or something. Feel free to go off the board, but no shows where nothing happens and especially no shows about quartets of annoying NYC ladies led by a ghastly uggo.
I also can alternate my drama back and forth with Curb, Eastbound, or Entourage.
According to the cable channel, the start of production will be contingent on the casting of protagonist Shadow Moon. Bryan Fuller (“Hannibal”) and Michael Green (“The River,” “Heroes”) will write the series and serve as showrunners. Gaiman is on board as executive producer of the project, which hails from FreeMantle North America.
How could you leave this out Adgy...
That's pretty exciting in and of itself.
Whilst I don't share your exuberance SO FAR for season 3, Fuller being involved lends a whole 'nother level of potential to the thing.
I think whenever I last mentioned American Gods here, the bit I quoted mentioned Fuller was running it.![]()
Based on the ones I've watched, I'd recommend Boardwalk Empire and Penny Dreadful are two of my favorites. If you can find Season 1 of Black Sails, definitely watch that as well. Season 2 of Black Sails is one of my favorite things I've ever watched. And if you have access to Spartacus on Starz, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...WATCH SPARTACUS!!! <3 <3 <3
Anyone else watch A Deadly Adoption tonight? Still trying to figure this one out.
However ?
Since NBC doesn?t produce Hannibal, Gaumont will likely shop it around to another distributor, since the show garners so much critical acclaim (and on another platform ? especially one where Fuller is able to completely execute his vision for the series outside of what is possible on broadcast ? the show might become something even more intensely beautiful and frightening). There have been rumors of other suitors for Hannibal for awhile now, so though NBC is passing on the series, the show is probably not over for good. Fuller has said he has a 7 season plan for the series, so let?s hope someone else picks it up so we are able to see it through to its fruition. This is my design.

I watched it. Not as funny as I'd hoped.
