Catching up on Breaking Bad, and it is the best show on any level of Television.

I need to see the first two seasons though.

I just finished the first two seasons and just got the season 3 disc 2 in the mail yesterday.

Too all the latecomers to BB...why'd it take so long? Even Kingsqueen needed a kick in the pants. From the first time I read Chem Teacher w/lung cancer decides to cook meth I was all-in. Glad y'all are in now, just curious...what kept ya?

I was always interested in seeing it. Just took me a while to get around to adding it to my netflix queue. I'm still behind on "The Wire" also. Now that is a crime and completely unacceptable!

Well now I'll have to check it out.

Nope just you

C'mon...someone has to. I think the Shield kicks 7 shades of **** out of the Wire...just saying. The Wire had some good/great characters, but the shifting focus made the overall story kinda iffy. And once certain characters exited(Stringer Bell, Omar) in my opinion, the show never recovered. I liked the street junkie(sad I can't remember his name) a lot, but he just wasn't enough to carry the show. That show is revered and called some of the best television on television...and I don't think that's justifiable. It was very good...just not as great as everyone remembers.

When BB first aired I checked it out and liked it but it was SD on DirecTV, we just got AMC in HD this past year so now I'm on board. I think they have been replaying the whole series this month I just put it in my q a few weeks ago.

ha, i didn't even realize people were talking about BB in here, too. (and that there were even more late comers, oops).
anyway, my reason is because i didn't really hear how great it was until maybe season 2. at that point, i was too busy expecting a child and watching a bunch of other shows that have since run their course. glad i finally have the time for it now though.

Well to be honest I am only part way through the Wire. From what i have seen so far I love it. As for the Shield never saw it so i cant comment on it.

O and the junkie is Bubbles one of my favorite characters.

Oh Bob...after you finish the Wire, watch the Shield. And I will let you tell me which one you think is better. Thanks, yeah Bubbles is the true moral center of the Wire...he was without a doubt, the best part. Omar, who was such a different character, was second i.m.o. But, across the board, I will admit the acting/casting in the Wire was perfect.
