All Things: TELEVISON

Is Up All Night drawing poor numbers? I watched the very first episode when it came on and it was so boring I did not watch another (I almost always give a new show two episodes), but I believe critics love it.

I figure the longer NBC holds Community, the better its chances are for making it to another season. We just need more NBC sitcoms to fail so the network is even shorter on comedies (remember, 30 Rock and The Office are ending) than it already is. Of course, if NBC holds it too long, then there will only be that half season (but it could still come back next season even then).

I think Up All Night's ratings are way below what NBC wants it to be at... though to be fair, everything they have on Thursday has fallen big time anyway. But the ones that really stand out with super low ratings is Up All Night and 30 Rock. I think NBC is obviously going to give 30 Rock and The Office a pass since it's their last season anyway.

But good point though about the lack of comedies after this season. Thursdays is just brutal in terms of competition. You have the casual audience watching X-Factor on Fox and then you have all the old people who don't change their channels away from CBS.

I don't understand how Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men get the ratings they do... neither show are funny.. AT ALL. I would rather watch Whitney before I watch those shows... and that says a lot.

Don't know about anyone else, but I am exhausted with the supplot on Grimm with the Captain/his galfriend. Just do it already.
Totally agree. This story is being drawn out way too long.

At some point does Hank get to start seeing the creatures too? I like that guy and feel he needs some more a** kicking time..

I really enjoyed the last episode of Elementary. It had a nice twist, even if the characters were much slower to recognize the clues to it than I was. They really need to keep Lucy Liu's hair down; she looks way too harsh when it is pulled back. Johnny Miller is great in the lead role, but all the secondary characters are so bland I cannot even remember any of them right now.

I'm still at last season with 30 Rock (just saw the episode where Tracy has something removed from his nose) and it is plenty good. Jane K (I will not attempt to spell the actress' last name) is deeply underrated - her craziness is just as good if not better than Tracy Morgan's.

In case you did not see this:

They need to put Happy Endings back on Wednesday. Either before or after Modern Family.

With that said.. I watched New Girl mostly because of Fox's stupid rule on Hulu where you have to wait 8 days instead of 1 day if you miss it. -_- Will have to use Hulu to watch Happy Endings along with Go On.

Boob slap!!!

Fully made-up Zooey gained a few points back after that episode, but it will take a lot more than that to make up for those Apple commercials. Happy Endings was great. ABC has a lot of comedies right now and they wanted to give the one about the aliens that I have no interest in a protected time slot. Happy Endings and Bitch In Apartment 23 are not quite as treasured by ABC as the other ones. Maybe they can wind up on TBS with Courtney Cox if they get the boot.

Oh yeah, forgot about Cougar Town... and I love that show too! Totally underrated and I think people aren't watching it because of the title. Silly people judging a book by its cover. Since I don't have cable, I pray that Hulu will upload it.

I have very little interest in this. I think Silence and in general the entire character is overrated(Brian Cox was better than Hopkins showy turn) but I do like Mads so I will watch this to see what he does. Unrelated, there's a guy who should be contacted should Daniel Craig not want to do another Bond flick...

You mean Mads? I think his role as villain in Casino Royale would rule him out, sadly. He's probably not "sexy" enough, either. :(
