All Things: TELEVISON

Whether that show is good or bad, I'm setting the over/under at 2.5 episodes before it is cancelled.

Safe to say on almost any scripted show. I think it has a shot. Most of the stuff is drek...a female Sopranos(ugh) that one w/Radha Mitchell on ABC. Yeah, that'll fly. At least that Dr. Jekyll concept has room to tweak.

The split personality thing didn't last very long when it starred Christian Slater and had a secret agent premise.

The Radha Mitchell show will also be cancelled pretty quickly but has zero chance of being watchable.

Time to Meet Another Character from Ripper Street: Sergeant Drake | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

"Ripper Street" stars MATTHEW MACFADYEN (Anna Karenina, MI-5, Pride and Prejudice), JEROME FLYNN ("Game of Thrones"), ADAM ROTHENBERG ("Alcatraz"), MYANNA BURING (The Twilight Saga, White Heat) and DAVID DAWSON ("Luther," "Secret Diary of a Call Girl").

Synopsis:
History's most notorious serial killer, Jack the Ripper, tore through London. Now, the detectives who were on the case have to pick up the pieces. In the aftermath of the murders, can anyone keep order in the blood-stained London Streets?

Haunted by the failure to catch London's most evil killer, Inspector Edmund Reid (Macfadyen) now heads up the notorious H Division, the toughest district in London's East End. Charged with keeping order in the chaotic streets of Whitechapel, Inspector Reid is soon drawn deep into the seedy criminal underworld of Victorian London -- where fear always lurks that each new murder could mark the return of The Ripper.

OOOh...it's got Bronn from GoT. Nice.

It's getting mixed reviews but the pilot was bat**** crazy fun and great popcorn entertainment.

Fall TV

I hate shaky cam!

That bar fight was fun.

How easy it is to assume someone's identity. How is he gonna get 10 grand to pay the computer hacker guy?

I'm thinking, do we really need this scene between his ex girlfriend and her husband? Then I'm thinking, it's Cinemax so yeah, I guess so.

Storyline seems a stretch in every which way. But, why not..

Ha, that didn't surprise me for the channel this is on like you said.

Since they had already shown a propensity throughout the episode for using flashback sequences, hardly a surprise that Cinemax would tie a flashback into an explicit sex scene for the hell of it. Not necessary but that's the same kind semi-random sex scene they put into Strike Back as well. Funny thing is one of the cast interviews with that woman had her stating she was only doing sex scenes(for the first time) because they were vital to the show's plot. HAHAHA

I didn't hate Banshee...but I want more bat**** crazy. And said 'first time naked' chick, was it me or was she kinda rugged?

Meet the wild alien races of Syfy's Defiance in intense new trailer | Blastr

Here's the synopsis:

Set in the near future, Defiance introduces an exotically transformed planet Earth, its landscapes permanently altered following the sudden - and tumultuous - arrival of seven unique alien races. In this somewhat unknown and unpredictable landscape, the richly diverse, newly-formed civilization of humans and aliens must learn to co-exist peacefully. Each week, viewers will follow an immersive character drama set in the boom-town of Defiance, which sits atop the ruins of St. Louis, MO, while in the game, players will adventure in the new frontier of the San Francisco Bay area. The dramatic tapestry of the series and the intense action of the game will exist in a single universe where their respective narratives will inform one another and evolve together into one overall story.

Ambitious...a tv show with an interactive concurrent video game...good luck with that.

Anybody watched that new Jeffrey Ross show on Comedy Central, The Burn? Watched the episode the other night with Dave Attell and Judah Friedlander on it and thought it was pretty damn funny. They just stand around insulting each other the whole time (basically).

Added a subscription to the DVR. Be interesting to see the if the quality of guests can stay that high.

Watched the first couple and thought it was very tame. Might be better completely unedited (i.e. hbo). But haven't seen any since.
