and now AMC is making moves on a sci-fi series with a pedigreed team behind the scenes: Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski and Pacific Rim screenwriter Travis Beacham. Hit the jump for much more.
Per THR, AMC is developing a futuristic cop drama pilot called Ballistic City with Joseph Kosinski attached to direct and executive produce and Travis Beacham writing the script. The potential series is described as a mix between Chinatown and Blade Runner and centers on “a former cop who is thrust into the criminal underworld of a city housed in a generational spaceship destined for an unknown world.” Beacham is onboard to write the pilot and executive produce alongside Kosinski, who has agreed to helm the pilot should AMC take a liking to the script.
Could Heroes be making a comeback? It’s an odd and interesting time for TV fandom, as the return of Arrested Development on Netflix and the revival of Veronica Mars (via a Kickstarted movie) is causing a lot more “Hey, maybe this could come back too!” discussion about all sorts of shows.
TVLine is reporting that a Heroes revival is indeed as possibility though, with MSN – in the midst of planning a bigger push of original programming via Xbox – in talks to launch a new version of the superhero series that originally aired an on NBC from 2006-2010.
Just let it be.
Hey Bobnot...about 7 episodes into Copper. I am digging it, but not as much as Ripper Street. The characters are a little less, and they ALL lie. The little girl thing is kinda icky too. And I felt bad for ol'Jasper. But yeah, all of the characters except for Corky are differing degrees of unlikeable. Did like the Dentist poisoning himself, and the conversation in the bar after. That was pretty clever/funny.
Yeah the characters are all shady. The situation with the little girl is definitely icky. I do like Corky though and think he is a good character. So many situations that are very similar between the two shows.
Did I mention Asian sex slavery ring and naughty manga???? Yeah, you know you want some Adgy.
You're just telling me about this now?!

It's the best WORST show on tv. Really...it's overwhelming. Vera Farmiga keeps threatening to go all Faye Dunaway/Mommie Dearest and Norman would not be a serial killer, he would be an avowed homosexual. The Creeperson family managed to move into a town with militarized pot farms, said business related body torchings, questionable lawmen who just manage to show up at the perfect time but can be taking a pee right next to a murdered body in a tub and not notice, Norman being more American Beauty than Norman Bates, an 'evil' stepbrother, oh yeah, and really overt and disturbing incestual aspirations.
Don't get me wrong, it's a hoot. ****ing HI-larious.
Oh yeah, and half the time the motel looks like a bad matte painting with wheels on the bottom. Telling you, it's a great show for all the wrong reasons.
