All Things: TELEVISON

The season finale of Revolution was a lot of fun last night. Overall, I give the show a B. I like it enough to keep watching it. Call it a guilty pleasure. I still don't like the move to Wednesdays at 8 PM in the Fall though... but who knows, maybe an earlier time slot will generate more ratings.

Speaking of ratings, I still need to know... who the **** owns these Nielsen boxes and why do they keep watching CBS? :facepalm:

Definitely a fun show and all the Stephen King references make it even more interesting. Like a mix of The Stand and the Dark Tower.
 
So...I decided to get caught up on Banshee. How is it that a show that has an Amish crime boss, a sassy transgender(?) hacker with some weird hybrid Asian/Southern accent, and a Prometheus like albino jailhouse rape-y predator who graphically gets his member razored off as well as eyes gouged...be sooooooooooooooooooooo bland. They miss all the beats dramatically, comedically...every potentially great moment is squandered. Gonna stick with it and hope that they get better direction/writing in s2. By the way...love the sheriff/con...who walks like Karate Joe from 'I'm Gonna Get You Sucka' and, at one point almost looks square into the camera as if to say...'can you believe all the women that come into my dingy apartment and strip off their clothes ???' It's ok, it should just be a LOT better.
 
It just donned on me that i stopped watching Orphan Black. I guess i wasnt that interested in it after all.
 
Yes to Job getting his own show. Not enough of his fabulousness. And yeah Bob...I quit too. The multiple hers just took me out of it. It wasn't terrible, I may go back to it and catch up. But no rush. I think that Starz Magic City catch up is next.

Yeah my DVR took a crap a while back and i had to replace it, which meant redoing all my scheduled recordings. Guess i forgot that one.

I'm convinced you would love this show. It's like a good version of Dexter.
 
Ok...yez basterds...settling into a groove w/Sherlock. Only watched the first and 1/2 of the second so far, so I am not HOOKED. Although it's good, I fully expect it to get soooo much better simply based on the love so many have for it. Freeman is the best part of the show. His heavy soul is a good balance to Cumberbatch's flashy/showy performance. Like the 'Sherlock-vision' where you can see his mind processing, but I am glad they use it sparingly. The only thing, and this may be why I have never been too fond of the character in general, is that you almost have to write up almost Scooby Doo Mystery Chaser storylines to justify Sherlock's hyper-fantastic mind. I think eventually this may annoy me more than it already is, but I am officially in so far.


Do I get my credibility back Doc????

That's about the sum of it.
 
Just watched the first three seasons of justified over the last two weeks. Great show. Love all of the characters. Now I just need to get my hands on season 4.

Stick with Sherlock JD it gets better as it goes.
