All Things: TELEVISON

Yeah, when I posted the link, the Lohan was the actual article, they added the Kelly story shortly after.

ha. didn't know that'd get a mention here. i watch the view just in the background while i'm getting started in the morning. she's the only thing good about that show and now she's gone. i'm glad that at least hasselbeck left also.

Come on now...I am well rounded, if nothing else...Behar rocks.

yeah, because who needs to be exposed to conservative views - ever?

it wasn't her conservative views I disliked. it was her borderline screaming in an attempt to get her views heard and overuse of the word "phenomenal" when talking about various guests' projects.

I don't like wawa Walters or sherry shepherd either for different reasons. why did you deduce that my dislike of such a grating personality had anything to do with politics?

to be honest, I watched the view in the beginning of my housewife life and learned about a shopping flash sale site that's proven invaluable to me so I have it on in the background for the occasional chance of getting little nuggets of worth like that.

face palm back to you, sheesh!

Haha!

The View? :P

Actually, (and I have to shame to admit it) I used to watch the View circa the Lisa Ling years (I sort of had a thing for her, haha) when I had days off during Summer Break.

I have seen and occasional show of it here and there, bur it's not like I am usually around at home at time or really into that sort of thing these days.

But I was thinking, Behar, asides from Walters, has been the only woman on that show from the beginning right? And it's been on for a surprisingly long time.

But heck, Springer has been on since I was a kid and that is really bad. They don't even have Klan eps anymore. mhihi:

OMG! So used to watch Springer when I was away on break from school and my parents couldn't stop me. No wonder I turned out the way I did. Gonna facepalm myself.

haha, i'm ashamed to admit i "watch" it also. that's why i was actually surprised it was mentioned by JD, but i can respect his appreciation of behar. i think she's funny. the SNL parody of her "so what? who cares?" and her embrace of it is funny also. i like her personality. honestly, i only watch it out of ritualistic compulsion and i'm usually doing 10 other things around the house while it's on. and let's be real, 95% of the time i'm home at 10am on a weekday so what else am i gonna have on the tv? if it were on any other time, i wouldn't go out of my way to watch.

and yes, you're right joy's been around since the beginning. i probably only started watching around 2006-7 once i quit my job so i never watched the object of your affection, ling. mhihi:
i just remembered, apparently jenny mccarthy is behar's replacement. i wonder how that'll go. :behindsofa:

i have never seen springer. just clips of it on other shows. i'm a woman so i'd probably find watching the view to be less embarrassing than getting sucked into watching all the trash that shows up on springer. haha.

And there you go.

whoops, my bad.

Good to see there are other conservative "views" on LGK.

actually, i'm not conservative at all in the same sense that elisabeth is, but you can rest assured that there are definitely conservatives here on lgk.
to be clear, my views are socially liberal for the most part while being conservative about certain things... like the belief that when you marry someone you take an oath to be with him/her through thick and thin but that's a promise that lots of people, conservative and liberal, don't honor. there are exceptions of course, as there are in anything.

i don't watch the view for their political views since i think most of them are bird brains anyway. there are better shows where political views are expressed in an intelligent manner with not nearly as much squawking. i just think it's too quick to judge that i don't like hasselbeck because of her conservatism since rosie o'donnell is the clear opposite of her and i don't like that crazy nutbag either and was glad when she left as well. but no biggie on your bad.

i've already stated why i bother with the view.
here's another reason because i never would've seen this if it weren't for that show:

seriously, i'm not a big fan of cats, but this was mesmerizing and amazing all at once. i don't like cats, but i would want this cat. hahaha.

But not like cats, Lunchie? :(

Well, I'll forgive you for that. And so will Selwin.

you know that even though you're a dolphin, selwin thinks you are just a giant fish that he (or she?) is just waiting to die so he (or she) can eat you, right? ;)

It's a he. And it's a typo, D'oh, it's Selwyn. And actually it's not my cat, but a friend's of mine. He's a cute cat, but I agree with you, he's cute now, but I know he'll get me when he get's a chance. :O But yeah, haha, I tend to give my pets Jewish names than say Anglo Saxon names like Selwyn, not that there's anything wrong with being Anglo Saxon. ;)

so did my husband... so did my husband... haha.

Of course he did. 'Cause he's a guy. Let's get this off the table, Hasselbeck is HOT! But then she starts saying things and well the hotness starts to dim...

;)

See, I don't just judge a woman based on her looks... mhihi: ;)
