All Things: TELEVISON

Sorry TC...knew Revolution AND Hannibal wouldn't make it. Hannibal has the lustre of being basically NBC's boutique show...lotsa press love, etc. Let's be honest, Revolution probably shouldn't have got a second season.

Damn it all to hell. Revolution was awesome this year but people are morans. Community just needed 1 more season. Damn... Meanwhile there are 75% of terrible shows on network TV that are still alive and well.

What are the chances that other networks can pick this up? Though highly unlikely.. Only ones I've seen recently is Cougar Town going from ABC to TBS and American Dad from Fox and soon to be on TBS.

At least Hannibal seems to have made the cut. That's good for you and adgy.

Anyway, a few gifs to sum up my emotion on Community mostly.

It wouldnt shock me to see Netflix pick up Community

Did Hannibal get cancelled, or are you just saying you expect it?

Nah, post #2255 , LTI already posted the renewal for Hannibal...I meant that NBC wasn't gonna carry 2 low rated/expensive shows. Hannibal had the edge clout wise. If you read what Fuller has been saying there are 2 camps @ NBC...one that was really behind Hannibal and one that wasn't...so it looks like the good guys won.

And yeah...I could see Community being shopped to somewhere else(Netflix), because I guarantee Harmon wants to unload on the NBC execs via his show.

I WAS PROMISED SIX SEASONS AND A MOVIE!

TBS, get on it. They can put it on after Abed's favorite (non-British) show.

Is it possible for something to look expensive AND cheap at the same time? Seems like they got a LOT of Constantine right but I can't help but think this looks like another Grimm, where it's the same sorta story grinding gears till you just give up.

And it'll be on Fridays, so that'll likely kill it in one.

and dead pt 2, anyone even know this was on, much less watch?

I missed the first hour of Rosemary because I was busy watching Cosmos, haha.

Just as well, I caught the second half, and despite having Zoe in it, I thought it was pretty bland. :/

I'm with you on the look. While TV shows — even expensive ones, and this one probably is not high on the food chain — either frequently or eventually bump into the limitations of their budget and schedule when it comes to polish, the real disappointment in the footage here is that the overall look is so pedestrian. This is a show that not only could withstand a severe visual style, it practically demands it. The pilot, apparently, is directed by Neil Marshall, who did The Descent (and, apparently a couple of Black Sails and Game of Thrones episodes, too), so gutsy visuals are certainly within his purview. It's both possible and probable that the look of the show will evolve, perhaps even before air date. I will still give this a chance, of course.

And, of course, the other bummer is I still don't know how they will pronounce his name in the show yet.

Oh, given his prior TV work that you mentioned I GUARANTEE, the pilot/initial episode will be spectacular. After that though is where I worry. Very weird to see so many genre folks(Marshall/David Slade((who I think is showrunning as well as directing episodes of Hannibal)), and Vincenzo Natali((who also directs eps of Hannibal))) getting heavily involved in tv, but it's a good thing. Like on Penny Dreadful, they had J.A.Bayona(the Orphanage) direct the first 2 episodes, and the first episode was as 'cinematic' as it gets.

There are some really awesome bits in this.

And then some really not awesome bits.
