All Things: TELEVISON

Anyone catch the first episode of Legends? I think it has potential to be a 24-esque type show. entertaining enough and Sean bean is so damn good. I don't think Ali larter is nearly good enough to keep up with him (strip tease scenes aside); not like strahovski was with kiefer Sunderland.

I like the idea of him stopping terrorist acts show by show while still advancing the "who am I" storyline, but hope they don't fall into the trap of never taking the story anywhere

I thought Legends was watchable, but I'm still weighing if I need it with the state of my DVR and the proximity of fall programming. I liked Ali Larter (that strip club scene didn't hurt, and I totally believe the villains would have no suspicion at all with a woman like her working at a truck stop strip club), who I don't think is supposed to be a field agent. I was hoping the other young guy would die, because he was really annoying. It looks like the other girl will be the most interesting character (after Boromir/Ned/006). The long storyline did not get off to the best start with the guy grabbing and raving like a lunatic, which was unoriginal and annoying. I'm interested to see how Sean Bean puts himself into deep cover that takes months to set up in every episode. I don't know if TBS has the patience to do it by having the whole season (or half of it) be one mission, but THAT would be a good show. I'm calling my agent right now.

TBS would win everything if Bean died in the second episode.

I watched it and enjoyed it, mostly just because I like the Scottish accents.
ha I'm right there with you. The scenery is incredible too.

Two episodes in and it's pretty good. They seem to just be adding some background context thus far. The villain british soldier is very patriot-esque. While the acting gets high marks, I would like some kind of action or something to happen soon.

The second season finale airs Thursday night at 9 on Sundance. Deadline's renewal story last night suggested that the next season would return to the six episode pattern of season 1 (this season has 10 episodes), but Sundance tells me the episode order is still to be determined.

Without giving away much about this week's finale, I'll say that I would have been very unhappy if it had been the last episode of the series — both because I'm not ready to lose the show yet, and because it's an even less definitive conclusion to the series than the first season finale.

Sundance is still pretty new to the original content game, and "Rectify" represents so much of what they want to be about. ("As SundanceTV’s first scripted series, it’s gratifying to see such distinctive and unusual storytelling embraced with such passion," Sundance president Sarah Barnett said in the renewal announcement.) If they had given up on the series before Ray McKinnon had finished telling his story, they might as well have packed it in on this whole initiative. Instead, they get to keep enjoying the raves from critics and fans, and we get to keep watching the story of Daniel and all those touched (positively and negatively) by his return

Sorry. So happy about this I am almost in tears. It really is that special to me. It's a truly beautiful show.

No. Terriers not winning all...that is criminal

Terriers is one of the best shows in that whole bracket, but Firefly winning will be the correct result. I have a problem with them making Terminator run into it so early. Possibly the worst thing FOX ever did was choosing to bring Dollhouse back for another season over giving Terminator a third season.

How did Terra Nova even get picked for the thing?
