All Things: TELEVISON

Season 2 of Black Sails has seriously been the most well-crafted season of television I've ever watched. I don't normally re-watch TV shows very often, but I'll be getting this season on Blu-Ray and re-watching it over and over. Just damn perfect TV.

It's just the 10 episodes, right? They did a marathon for free preview weekend and showed all 10. Had to clear some DVR space, but... very excited, assuming that's all of them!

Yeah, last season was an all too brisk 8 episodes. I think the Starz freeview was lined up with the finale' airing simply to give folks access to this frikking 'orribly underrated show. You are gonna have a HARD time deleting those eps kid. It's simply one of the most beautiful looking shows on tv, second only to Hannibal maybe. And, let's face it...you are gonna have to re-up for Starz when this...

BLUNT TALK Trailer: Patrick Stewart Is Out of Control in New Starz Comedy

Starz has released the first Blunt Talk trailer for the upcoming comedy series from Bored to Death creator/showrunner Jonathan Ames and executive producer Seth MacFarlane. The half-hour show stars Patrick Stewart as Walter Blunt, a British import intent on conquering the world of American cable news. The problem is, Blunt is kind of out of control?a crazy person on a mission to impart his wisdom and guidance on how Americans should live, think, and behave. Sound familiar?

This first-look trailer is pretty great, as it shows Stewart really going for it in a balls-to-the-wall kind of way. Have you been waiting for a chance to see Patrick Stewart do cocaine? Well Blunt Talk is the show to bring that dream to fruition. It?s also noteworthy for being the new series from Ames, whose comedy Bored to Death was a cult hit on HBO throughout its run.

Check out the first Blunt Talk trailer below, via Starz. The series also stars Jackie Weaver, Adrian Scarborough, Dolly Wells, and Timm Sharp. The 10-episode first season of Blunt Talk premieres on Starz this summer.
...starts up. Or does the wife's Patrick Stewart fascination only apply to Star Trek?

****, no. We're going to need that.

It might just be that I'm the perfect audience, being raised in the 80s where the show takes place, but The Goldbergs is the best comedy on network TV these days.

Am I the only one getting a little tired of Patton Oswalt weighing in on EVERYTHING and trying to present himself as the scales of justice? Don't you have a ****ty movie to be in where you basically play a version of yourself? If you look at Trevor Noah's original tweets, he deserves to be called on the carpet for them.

****, I don't know if I knew this was going to be on Starz. Time to bite the bullet and pay for that channel.

Add The Missing to your Starz must watch list. That was a tremendous season. And it's like A/H/S, True Detective in that it's a self contained storyline.

Mark Hamill was great on The Flash. Sometimes you could hear The Joker coming through his performance. I didnt realize he also played the trickster on the first Flash show.

Ha! I didn't know he was. Agreed he was good on the flash. Although he did seem to give up where the dad was fairly easily..
