USA postpones 'Mr. Robot' finale due to parallels to Virginia murders

(Some minor spoilers follow.)

The freshman thriller's season finale features a very graphic on-camera shooting. It's not identical to the tragedy this morning in Virginia, where a TV reporter and cameraman were murdered during a live broadcast, but it was close enough that USA understandably decided it was wise to put a bit of distance between the real and fictional events. No one who watched tonight would be thinking about anything else.

In a statement, the network said, "The previously filmed season finale of 'Mr. Robot' contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia. Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."

The finale will now air in its entirety on Wednesday, September 2 at 10 p.m. Tonight in its place, USA will re-run last week's penultimate episode of season 1.

Wow, I know Gotham S1 wasn't supposed to be perfect, but there's a lot of apologies and promises coming from the cast and crew.

They are confusing the Movie Poopshoot crowd with the mass audience, and the only way they are going to please those guys is with a '15 years later' subtitle at the start of the next episode.

So...From Dusk Till Dawn season 2 started this week

Not bad, seems like RR has been freed from the Gecko Brothers canon after s1. Still some questionable acting...almost intentionally, but growing into it's own organic thing.

Anyone kept up with Falling Skies?

The whole army barrack saga was completely unnecessary and wasted 3 episodes. They should've just focused this whole season on the final battle. Now 2 episodes left and they still have to deal with Pope as well as whatever the end game is.
I would have have up on this if I didn't already know the end was near. I completely agree what a waste of two episodes. Complete filler. You can tell that no one cares at this point and are seriously mailing it in.

This last week's episode with how Pope was tied up was such lazy writing. Oh well that show went off the tracks last season. Just figured I would finish it.
