All Things: TELEVISON

I haven't had a chance to see it yet but it's a 3 parter according to the episode listings. Are they really doing 3 episodes of just Jake and Holt? That would be nuts.

And I wonder how the B99 and New Girl crossover episode is going to work as well.

Like I said, I will take 3 episodes of Jake and Holt. I'll take an episode in NY without them. The show has just been rolling.

The crossover should work since both shows are on the same level of realism (not very). Winston is a cop now, so there's an in.

Haven't gotten to Survivor yet, but the end of BB was priceless. Dumbass.

Hoping South Park has an entire episode on the member berries.

As far as I know, they're doing 3-4 episodes in Florida, but I think the rest of the squad will show up in Florida in the next episode. No way will it just be Jake and Holt for more than one episode.

I'm not sure how the crossover will work, but apparently Coach won't be in the crossovers, which makes me sad because that actor was also in an episode of B99 and that would have been hilarious.

So I watched Designated Survivor on ABC.com because it's Jack FM Bauer. (Pretty sure a lot of people tuned in because of that, no?)

Anyway, as far as pilots go... they nailed it. It was interesting and they didn't give too much away. It almost had a House of Cards vibe to it but I couldn't quite put my finger on it since it's a network show after all. There's something about the aura of Kiefer Sutherland. When he's on the screen, he just commands attention. So his character being uncertain that he has to be the President works so well. But then again, I'm a huge Jack Bauer fan so I'm probably biased as hell.

I'll definitely keep watching. The only problem is that it goes head to head against Chicago PD. Soooo, I'll just watch Designated Survivor online.

Saw Pitch last night on Fox.com. It was pretty decent and it almost felt like a Baseball movie.

One thing I didn't know though that got me excited was the opening credits. I saw the name Mark-Paul Gosselaar appear on the screen and I said out loud "F*** YES!" (I was a huge Saved by the Bell fan growing up if you didn't know already.) He's also one of the main characters too, so that's really cool to see.

I know the World Series and All-Star Game has always been on Fox and everything.. but it's cool to see them use real uniforms of the Padres, Dodgers, and Giants so far. Granted, they're fake ball players, that's no surprise. But it always bugged me when I see TV Shows use a real team name for one thing, and then they play fake teams. But since this is actually the MLB, that's pretty neat.

The twist at the end though.. I'll admit, I didn't see that one coming. And just like with Designated Survivor clashing against Chicago PD.. this show Pitch clashes with Chicago Med. I'll be watching Pitch, but online only. ;) (And the ratings were bad for Pitch too. That would make it an automatic front runner for cancellation right? Especially since its on Fox.)

I am a little behind on show watching but just finished Season 2 of Mr. Robot. I am still trying to figure out what I just spent many hours of my life watching over the last few months. It was really hard for me to get into and not be bored out of my mind while watching. I actually thought the last couple of episodes were picking up pace but then it ends. I know they renewed for Season 3 but don't know if I will come back. Sad as I did really like the season 1 even thought the show could be strange at times.

It was a lot less immediate than the first season. Going to rewatch it as a binge to see if it improves. Wouldn't give up yet...they did a LOT of piece moving this season. I think, well, I hope, that they will pay off a lot of that next season. Chalk it up to sophomore slump, Esmail having TOO much control, and wanting to do too much.

Anyone here watched Timeless last night?

I enjoyed it enough to want more. so that's always a good thing. Every time travel shows have their own little rules don't they? For Timeless, they say that you can't go back to the time period you were in.. which means no re-dos if/when you screw up. Something about not being able to see your own body double. I think Back to the Future nailed it when it came to body doubles and how they tried their best to avoid each other.

If the show gets a full season, I wonder how deep they'll go, story-wise with the timelines being altered. It would be hectic to keep track of, but that's the fun part about time travel. I'm just afraid that the general audience (which is typically stupid by the way) will tune out if it gets too complicated.
