All Things: TELEVISON

Holy ****! The Timeless Season 2 finale was insanely good. Why couldn't they have done this for their episodes earlier in the season? Now to see if the ratings are good for it tomorrow since NBC is keeping an eye on that 9 PM slot. Moment of truth tomorrow.

Hap and Leonard officially canceled. Sundance's highest rated show, 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Three Seasons wraps it up, dudes. It was an honor to have worked with the folks on the show, actors, crew, writers, and thanks for putting up with grumpy me. Wish there were more seasons, but hey, we got three, and they were very fine indeed.

Well. Damn.

Gah! When I read about this a couple of hours ago on Twitter, it felt like a punch to the gut! The second season was my favorite of the three, but that third one was the ballsiest seasons of anything ever on television. DARK!

I don't know if this has a realistic chance of getting picked up anywhere else.

If this is it, at least we got really good, at times surprisingly so, adaptions of three books that I've enjoyed. I am grateful for that. Sigh.

Now, that this season has finished, haha, I can start watching it. :D

Channel Zero: Butcher?s Block has set a new bar for terrifying TV depictions of mental illness

I partially posted that article so that I can get back to it after finishing the season, hee hee.

I agree with a lot of what this article says. The season deals largely with mental illness which gives the story a very specific sadness, plus it allows all the strange surrealistic elements to serve as the development of illness as opposed to just being there for the sake of being weird (though there is some of that as well ;) ).

The thing about it, ultimately, is that this show just gets under your skin and makes you uncomfortable. Sympathetic characters have this underlying sinister element, sinister characters can be charming (Rutger Hauer's character). And the imagery, atmosphere, and story just combine to make unease the main star of the show.

Oh, and you won't have to be a vegetarian like me to be grossed out by a lot of this show, but it'll help, lol. :puke:

The first was okay, but fizzled, but the last two were more solid. Looking forward to the fourth.

Don't get attached...SyFy.

after the long list you watch , start really enjoying only to have them decide it cost them too much to produce.
Warehouse 13 , Being Human , Stargate Universe , Eureka , Dark Matter , The Invisible Man , The Dresden Files , and now The Expanse
