Oh man...that dorbz 66 Batmobile...and the Pirates of the Caribbean Pops.
I have a complicated relationship with Funko. They are singularly one of the most frustrating experiences of Comicon...tons of exclusives, none being harder to get than the chance to actually purchase something. BUT, they have the license for EVERYTHING. And the damned Pops are addictive.
And the ENDLESS variations... it's amazing how they can release 25 different lines and almost all of them are desirable.

Such a great point. And, to be honest, a LOT of the SDCC exclusives are next level stuff. The flocked Snuffleupagus from last year is tear inducing. And they just seem to be keyed into elements of my childhood that are touchstones. The Dastardly and Muttley Mean Machines for example. They really have something for everyone. As close to crack as a merchandising company gets. I just need to stay away from their booth and realize I will, as always, be picking up the ones I NEED on Ebay right after.
You can find some of their SDCC stuff at Hot Topic after the show.
Brian, the owner of funko, is a huge Hanna Barbera fan, so even though most of the HB stuff doesn't sell well, he has them made anyways out fandom. They have the secret sauce for sure to reach a large audience and different generations with their Pops.
The initiative will include Black Panther products in publishing, apparel, toys, collectibles, home goods and more aimed at both kids and adults. The merchandise will feature Black Panther on his own as well as part of a team
