ToysRUs still around, just barely

Just went to toysrus in Monrovia to see what was left from the "big" liquidation event, the one with up to 40% off. Well there wasn't much there at that discount. All legos/building block sets are only 10%, games are 20%. Actually

most things are marked off at 20%. Picked up the Doughty limited edition statue at 20% off, they had quite a few left. The shelves were pretty well stocked still. One employee said what ever they have on display is what the have left

in stock.

Also, if you have any gift cards or Geoffrey money, they will no longer be redeemed after 4/22/18. If you have any of these you need to file a claim https://cases.primeclerk.com/toysrus/Home-ClaimInfo

I asked how much longer does that store have left and the clerk said mid June/July will be when that store will close.
 
All 82 TRUs in Canada will remain open as they've actually been profitable for years and were purchased for $300M by Fairfax late last week.

I know the Bratz doll guy tried to buy the top 200 US stores as well as all of Canada, but they rejected that bid, so I'm not sure what the latest update is for TRU USA now.
