***Anaheim Ducks vs. LA Kings GDT 12/20/22 7:30pm on BSW & Spanish Radio***

Mikey Anderson beast mode all night. He was jamming up Ducks at the blue line all night. Terry and Zegras got some tonight.

well, that was fun. Much more structured game than against the Sharks. The Fiala goal was one of the most amazing goals I've ever seen in person. Helped that I was in my "fancy seats" tonight and it played out right in front of me.

The Ducks seem actually less terrible than the Sharks. They have a game plan - they just execute it at a snail's pace.

So great to see Drew play much better now that he had time to take a nap. Probably his best game of the season, and not just because he scored. He didn't overplay, but also joined the rush a few times. AND got all of his shots on goal! Only 24 mins ice time tonight according to Nick & Daryl - needs to stay that way. Everyone played solid, and great movement in the offensive zone. The Ducks were scrambling to keep up all night.

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed the goal differential tonight would be 3 goals:

Was nice to see the gameplan stuck to and be rewarded for it. Great work all night to own the game and finally the damn broke there late in the second with that AI goal off the great effort by Danault. I know the Ducks record is terrible, but that final result happened because the team stuck with a level of effort that was simply better than the ducks for all three periods and eventually all those little wins added up. All that said though the Fiala goal....My goodness. Offensively have we seen an individual effort highlight like that since Kopitars first goal? Palffy? Gretzky's baseball goal? I'm searching my mind and for the last 20 years all the individual effort highlights I can picture are Quick making an absurd save, nothing on offense that would compare to that goal. We do have a treat here in LA to watch, try to remember that goal the next time we get grumbly about a Fiala turnover at the blueline cuz he was "dusting off the puck" too much before making a play.

So I guess everyone is as wowed by the Fiala goal as I was. I don’t know where it ranks all time but it’s got to be up there. Anyway, great win last night. I know we’ve played 2 crappy teams now. But we took how we played in Boston & continued with that approach. And again, Copley was solid in net. So as always is the case, Kings rule & the Ducks suck.

Go Kings Go!

Yes, I was just telling a friend the other night how Fiala reminds me of Ziggy Palffy. That lateral quickness, both were beasts going to the net, and both seem to use those smaller sticks (Kane in Chicago uses a similar one also). But yes, KF reminds me of Palffy too.

Fun fact: When Brown retired I goggled his first game linemates: Stumpel and Palffy. We (as a team/fanbase) were due one of those type of player in their prime ((((no jinxies))). This is my favortie post of the season. Way to go Jay.

I'm happy the Kings won this game in regulation. The two ties one against the best teams in hockey and one against one of the worst teams in hockey also good and OK.

Well, beating teams you're supposed to beat is the first step to consistency, which the Kings need the most.

Win against Boston was nice and all, a nice confidence booster, but occasional win against top performing teams and then fairly often sh***** the bed against team they are supposed to beat gets you nowhere. So these last 2 wins are great.

Was at the game and was such a fun win. Lots of sad Duckie fans leaving Crypto.
