Kings' Arvidsson may need back surgery again
Los Angeles Kings forward Viktor Arvidsson apparently needs another surgery on his back, general manager Rob Blake says.
According to the Book of Deano, wingers are the easiest to replace…This is brutal news. Maybe somebody young will step up and replace his production and he can come back as a late season add to boost us into the post season. Gotta find some way to not be demoralized by this.
The only thing worse would be month-to-month with concussion symptoms.Back injuries suck, they can be so evasive to treatment.
This becomes a spreadsheet problem.Sad to hear this - mostly because including Arvy in a trade package might have resulted in a goalie upgrade.
What about one of the Boston guys? This becomes a spreadsheet problem.
Only goaltender now that’s going to make sense at the deadline is Gibson, and I doubt they deal him to us.
Matt Roy so Clarke can come upwho else can we magically LTIR?
The way Roy has played to start the year, that’s not a terrible ideaMatt Roy so Clarke can come up![]()
Maybe not so far fetched. Rough start to a contract year for Roy. Doesn’t look like the player who finished last season so strong.Matt Roy so Clarke can come up![]()

Maybe not traded, but an extension is unlikely IMHO.With the solid play of Arty and the seeming emergence of Laferrier, Arvy might find himself traded... sooner than later. The cap benefits would be huge.
Most likely scenario.Maybe not traded, but an extension is unlikely IMHO.
