***Boston Bruins vs. LA Kings GDT 1/5/23 7:30pm on BSW***

Thanks Pepe for pumping up Frederic

Here's the reason Frederic might not like our ****head.....

Ah yes, those were the days when hockey was so much more fun to watch. I can remember when the Kings moved into this hockey forum. Back then, intermissions would come over to this arena to show the construction going on. You cross traffic was around same yrs that I was. I went by taz42 in those days

Kings have had their chances this period and didn't convert.. now it's over... still they played well for 2 1/2 periods.

it was 50 minutes of fun and 10 minutes of agony.

Also....how many former Bostonians live in LA anyway?? And how do they all get seats in the PR sections???

I can't wait for Marchand to retire.

How is it that the guy Lemieux fights scores two goals in 30 secs and he's a bottom 6 grind guy?

There are a lot. I know many. Most of them are arrogant jackholes when it comes to sports. Some of them are just arrogant jackholes all the time. Football, Basketball, Hockey, Baseball...their fanbases are passionate but absolute jerks.

I was pretty happy with the way they played most of the game...just had a bad half period and we know this team generally has a tough time coming back after making mistakes. I believe Boston has outscored us at home 12-2 over the last 2 games...I unfortunately attended the 7-0 blowout last season.

I had the Bruins fan behind me in 304 who kept trying to loudly start the Let's Go Bruins chant. That was lovely. I also had 4 of them to the right of me. The one in the seat closest kept asking me how it has been with Bruins fans in the past and at one point wanted to know if the Bruins were the road team most away fans turned out for when playing us. I told him no way - that honor goes to the Detroit Red Wings and their fans. I would also say Toronto and Chicago fans turnout at least as much as Boston, and probably more so. And I then reminded him that the main reason there are so many Bruins fans here tonight is because the team is dominating this year and you are winning. But during leaner years, Boston is middle of the pack in terms of fan turnout at the crypt (Staples). Just my humble observation. He didn't believe me.

Well that was a lot of poll winners, good job to a great majority of you. After pondering that game for a bit I've decided that was basically the breaks. I originally wanted to say something about breakdowns and success with an "average" goalie but that wouldn't really be fair to Copley. At this point the team is coalescing into an identity that works with Copley and it would be dismissive to ignore it. JAD and Kopi both had good looks and didnt convert. Frediric converted on his and that's the ballgame. Tough test next against the Knights, lets move on and not waste that opportunity.

if the fan had been there in the lean times, they wouldn't need to ask.
