Remember back in December when the Kings had a few games where they were scoring goals on all of these pretty passing plays. Well, after that they started trying to play to "pretty" and have been playing risky. They have not gotten it out of their system yet. That is on Todd.

I think the flipside is also true. The Kings start playing like they know they probably aren't going to hold the lead. Their only hope is that it somehow gets as hard for the other team to score as it is for the Kings. They play like they know they're probably going to lose.

Todd gave him an earful after that play. That is the first I have seen that. Todd should have been doing that back in October when he was doing the same stupid stuff. Seeing Todd do that, he must be feeling the pressure to get this team winning, or someone else will have his job.

I think the writing is on the wall for Grundstrom. If Blake wants to send a message short of firing Todd, I think Grundstrom is the player he would move to send a message.
 
Think about the last month of Kings hockey. How many times has Kopi turned over the puck with a risky pass? More times this past month than entire seasons, seasons +. This team is playing to loose and they are getting burned.
 
Blake had better start thinking about making a meaningful trade for a meaningful player to boost this roster now if he doesn't want to show Todd the door 'cause this team's struggles are unreal recently. Pull the trigger already.

Early in the season they’d get a multi-goal lead and keep pushing, which drove play and kept the opposing teams on their heels. It was impressive. And yes, definitely the opposite of their games now.
 
All of that because of a dumb little backhand pass that didn't have enough on it to get to an open teammate. A lazy play that ends up with an extra minute in the defensive zone and two or three good chances against.
 
Boo. Buffalo gets the lead for the first time in this game. Todd and company are choking again. Their laziness to protect the lead and their net gets them burned time and time again.
