Burbank K-9 dead after being shot near 5 Freeway, suspect killed in shootout with police
A police K-9 was shot and killed by a suspect, who was later killed in a shootout with officers, following a traffic stop in Burbank.
Burbank K9 "Spike" was fatally shot by a fleeing suspect from a traffic stop on the 5 Freeway on Saturday night. K9 Spike had served 2 years with Burbank PD and had just celebrated his 4th birthday a couple of days ago.
