GDT ***Calgary Flames vs. LA Kings GDT 4/17/25 >>6:30pm<< on ESPN

Well, that's it for the final game of the season for the Kings. Other than Ward scoring his first career NHL goal, I'm not surprised that the Kings phoned in their performance this game in order to prevent any unnecessary injuries to their roster. It sucks to lose but I wasn't all that concerned in tonight's game. Now onto the WC playoffs and LA better not let Deadmonton get the best of this matchup between them in the first round again. Oh, and we pray that Kuemper better not miss a game due to illness or injury. Rittich just really makes me cringe whenever he's in net as he just became this season's Jeff Zatkoff compared to last season. He better be jettisoned out of the Kings roster after this season.

Yes he was JayWells24.I looked it up and this is what I found. On Jan.9,1994,The 25-year-old center was traded for the fourth time in his career, moving to Vancouver for Dixon Ward and future considerations.

Blah
What a terrible game and to make it worse had to endure the terrible espn broadcasters. They are slow to the action besides being boring.

Cassie Campbell-Pascal is Cammi Granato levels of cringe. Pair Roxy Bernstein with someone a bit more lively would help. (He called 300+ college ball games with Bill Walton, a guy who had plenty of energy on the mic.)

The droning voice is not suited for a color analyst. Gotta have some pep in the step.

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed that Taylor Ward would be credited with the final goal of the regular season:

Clearly it was Wards night and if he had scored on all of his opportunities the Kings might have broken their record for Wins and Points in a season. Still it was a very good and historic regular season for this team and we should all be glad of the success we got to enjoy most nights. Especially the season ticket holders who got to see the best home record in franchise history. Now we all get to enjoy the beast that is the Stanley Cup Playoff. Thanks to Nyssa for generating all the GDT's and putting out the poll questions, and for all you posters who have fun with it. Congratulations to @Rusty (68 points) who I believe has defended their crown despite a furious comeback by @Chateau Bow Wow who finished second with 67 points.

Will get with Nyssa to post the final standings in the playoff GDT

Unwatchable performance by the boys outside of the effort and goal by Ward. I'd say it was because we were resting 3 guys but we had our top 6 D playing and still gave up 5 goals. Maybe they just kinda checked out after the last game. Bring on Monday.
