Congrats kid!
Kuemper could net a first round pick at the deadline. Imagine if Kings did that and picked up a late round gem? And then the ghost of PLD was finally exorcised?Second one?! Spicy.
His stats are amazing since changing clubs.
Trade Kuemper or Forsberg at the draft, let Portillo take over the backup duties next season in the big club and play Carter in Ontario. Let Hammer develop in college and Rimpinen against the big boys in Liiga.

Sounds alot like Dumpster Diving Dave Taylor.Wishful thinking - as long as the Kings are mathematically in the playoff hunt, Holland and Luc will keep everyone and use loose change from their office couches to acquire anything they can.
This is accurate. On both the playoff premise and my thinking being wishful.Wishful thinking - as long as the Kings are mathematically in the playoff hunt, Holland and Luc will keep everyone and use loose change from their office couches to acquire anything they can.
Fair, for a couple reasons. it’s usually not a position teams mess with going into the playoffs. Playoff teams also have good goaltending generally. But for a team where it’s not a strength, he could be regarded as a significant boost. He can also be traded at the draft...or next year's deadline. To me it seems like goalies are less hot potaotoes at the deadline and more of a "planned investment". I could be wrong though. What are the most notable deadline goalie acquisitions of the past 10 years, apart from our very own Korpisalo?

I wanted to come up examples of my own but couldn’t think of any. Googled it and yes they are very rare.
Robin Lehner was traded to Vegas Feb. 24, 2020. VGK sent two prospects and second round pick.
Otherwise Ryan Miller in 2014 and Dwayne Roloson in 2006.
