Cayden Boozer of Duke

Rogie-Vachon

Sizzler Across The Street
Just pulled a Byfield.

Less than 10 seconds - don't have to cross mid court - tries to pass up to teammates for a closing dunk - INSTEAD - throws a turnover & UCONN steals the game with a last second shot.

Reminded me of that Game 4 Byfield stick handle mishap that cost his team the win & a 3-1 lead heading home.

Just stick to the fundamentals ...

March Madness, where the players shut off their brain during the final play of the game... lol. (And on the other hand, it allows for some sick clutch shots.)

Maybe Byfield should call him and say "Bro, it doesn't get any better."

It was definitely a brain freeze by Duke’s player Boozer with less than 10 seconds left in the game and Duke up 72-70.All Cayden needed to do is dribble the ball around or try to draw the U Conn players close to him for a possible foul and a trip to the free throw line to end the game and a trip to the Final 4 for (Puke)Duke.
It is nice to see though that Duke and NC will not be on the Final 4,since I my days living in Va.and rooting for U of Va. and Va.Tech.and any team who plays Duke and NC in basketball and football 🙂

Everybody remembers Christian Laettner's buzzer beater in 1992 against Kentucky that put Duke in the Final Four. What some forget is he hit a buzzer beater two years earlier to also put Duke in the Final Four. This shot came against ....... yep, UConn. Payback sometimes takes quite a while, but it happened. As for this play, Boozer was trying to get it to two wide open teammates. It was a good play to deflect the ball away, and that can't be overlooked. As for Byfield, I've always felt he gets a bit more blame than he deserves (not saying he's 100% off the hook). But, if he does clear it, there were still about 35 seconds left for the Oilers. With that team, and especially with McDavid, that's enough time to still tie it up. Besides, even if the Kings held on for dear life in that game, I still feel there's a 50/50 chance the Oilers force a game 7 anyway.
