
It’s already been a year of massive change within the Canadian Junior and NCAA College ranks, as new rule changes will allow for unprecedented player movement. Beyond that seismic shift, the NHL and NHLPA are also said to be working with the CHL to create an exemption that will allow each NHL club to designate one 19-yera-old player for AHL action per season, beginning in Sept. 2026 (more on that will become available in the months ahead).
