GDT ***Columbus Blue Jackets vs. LA Kings GDT 12/22/25 7:00pm on FanDuel***

Fiala is awful.
Why is Q even in the faceoff circle? He is atrocious.
Those two need to be on the trading block.
Drew blows - but he ain't going anywhere.
Perry drank the last Fountain of Youth glass in October. He's been a joke the last 2 months.

Notice how Anaheim, Chicago & San Jose play their young kids - mistakes be damned.
That's why the team needs to Fire Hiller. Sam played one minute & ten seconds longer than I did - Trade off those underachieving players - bring up some hungry guys from Ontario.

The trade deadline can't come soon enough. Hopefully a few teams will want a few of these players. Or the Kings pay teams to take them away. I won't single out any one player, as they are all awful at this point.

I'm still on the "not watching a game until Hiller (Luc as well preferably) is fired" wagon. IDK if anyone else is on the same wagon. It'll be a good day when Luc, Hiller, Kopi, Dewey, Q, Fiala, and Moore are long gone.

The Kings are not good. They are not average. As Kings fans, we are in for a long rebuild. Back to square one. They don't have anyone you can build around.

That's what makes me so apathetic about watching. They are a solid 10 years out of being a contender and I am so amazed how they've gained/developed literally 0 assets in the last 5 years. They may squeak into the playoffs for awhile, or maybe that has already come and gone, but it is not entertaining and that's the whole point of the show. This team sucks from top to bottom. I'd be more willing to watch if there were some kind of rebuildy-the-bear thing going on, or a plan, but there's not, it's just rinse and repeat desperation trying to make the playoffs to save their jobs. Not a winning formula.

Fox made a lame excuse that because of all the penalties, he couldn't put them in as they would be "cold" from sitting so long. I don't get it. Goalies do it all the time!!
What's worse is the actual answer Hiller gave in the post game presser. He said they needed him in the lineup because they're short on centers. But they didn't want to play him. So they gave him only a minute of ice time. That is just beyond stupid.

I don't know how many worst losses of the season can we have in one season? I've been through some bad seasons with the Kings. I've been through the mid 90's when the team was selling off players to keep Bruce McNall a step ahead of creditors & prison. And I've been through the years of Dan Cloutier, Barry Brust, & Yutaka Fukufuji. I've never been this pessimistic about this team. I almost dread watching games, or else hoping they'd end as quickly as possible. I actually hope they're playing to get Hiller fired. That means when it happens they'll wake up & start to play better. If not & they're really this bad then this team has huge problems.

Unwatchable. I don't even care if I miss games anymore. Not a good, fun product on the ice.

As I posted here ad nauseam, I've been going to Kings games since their first season, and I don't remember hockey ever being this boring. I don't even care if I miss games anymore.

On the other hand I've been enjoying watching the Ducks play. Great young talent and a lot of big bodies. They don't get pushed around.

I'm not even sure I will see any Kings games in person this year. I had tickets to the Blackhawks but that didn't work out. I had to eat the ticket.

The bottom line I'm just not that excited about the on-ice product. This entire organization needs to be broken down to the foundation and built back up... I'm talking players, upper management, coach...everything.

I think Darcy Kuemper's stellar play in net has been masking many issues. Without his heroics I believe the Kings are a bottom tier organization desperately lacking in high end talent.

Just my two cents.

According to Statmuse he is right at 40% for the year
And… Fiala is at 25% and Laffy is at 42.6%. In other words, that line is always at a distinct disadvantage at the faceoff dots. A good coach would consider that in making up line combinations, especially on a team that plays a puck possession game. Hiller is so frustrating…

This reminds me of the end of the 2006 season when the Kings stopped playing for Andy Murray. The game that ended his tenure was a lifeless 4-0 home loss to Colorado (who wasn't very good that season). Very similar to last night's effort and too many games this season (especially at home). DT had no choice but to remove him as coach with 3 weeks left in the season.

Like others have alluded to, there doesn't seem to be an easy fix or young pillars to build around. I am all for a complete rebuild starting with removing Hiller ASAP.

Me as well, regarding 2006. The only difference was that particular team was quite good during the first part of the year, but it was all a mirage. It lead to a complete tear down, DL, and eventually 2 cups.
The organization is in a state of disrepair, and needs a similar rebuilding.
