Just in time for the NHL season to get underway in early October, Crypto.com Arena has just unveiled an all-new mega scoreboard.
Via the timelapse video below, some of the more than 300 hours put in by more than “70 workers from various construction and consulting companies and building personnel” highlighted what has been a major undertaking over the past few weeks.

An earlier tweet sent out by the building featured several of the new scoreboard’s key stats — including the fact it covers 5,500-square-feet and features 41.7 million pixels.

Of course, this is all just part of the ongoing renovations taking place inside the building leading up to LA Kings Opening Night on Oct. 24 vs. San Jose.
As reported last November, the team will not hold preseason games at their home arena due to the ongoing construction. Instead, they’ll head to Quebec City to finish out their 2024 training camp, which is scheduled to begin around Sept. 18 at Toyota Sports Performance Center in El Segundo.
