I was in the pool!!
Any of you guys use the Cokin filter system? Any reaction? Convenience, quality? The P-System is damn cheap and seems real versatile. I'm thinking of jumping in.

Drag Queens are always fun.
So, JUST got my camera this weekend. Big mess up on my order and didn't get the Nikon. Dealer screwed me over so went and got the Canon Xsi instead. Got three Canon lenses with it (18-55, 50mm, 75-300) and the other crap. 3 8gb cards too. Anyway, pretty excited about the whole thing. Spent yesterday and today figuring things out (trying to really). Haven't had a chance to do much, but tried out some of the HDR things and had some fun there. Here's two from a park near me. Comments are welcome. Tips too.

Obviously using the demo right now. Just getting a feel for it. I tried to keep both photos "natural" but get those odd colors and tones from the HDR side of things.
Going out tomorrow to get some use out of the 50mm and the 75-300. Got a few filters to goof around with as well. Might have some more posted tomorrow to blast.![]()
Wow. You could get decent pics from the last row of Staples with that.
Come to think of it, you might want to take it to Huntington Beach Pier. You can shoot the surfers from the Pier and get some excellent shots from there, near the lifeguard tower right on the pier. I'll bet you could get some cool stuiff with that lens at dawn or dusk. Id suggest dusk and shooting off the right side of the pier toward the sunset.
