ESPN LA app and Alexa?

Ok, for a few years I could always yell at my Alexa device to open "iheart radio la kings" to listen to the game. The audio stream is now on ESPN LA. How the heck do i get my Alexa speaker to play it since I don't want to listen on my phone?

Perhaps this helps

You might want to try just asking Alexa to play "ESPN LA" directly. I had a similar issue when I switched my sports listening, and it took a bit of fiddling around. If that doesn’t work, linking your ESPN account in the Alexa app can help, then you can say, "Alexa, play ESPN LA." Just make sure your device is up to date, too. It can be a pain when tech doesn’t cooperate, but hopefully, this helps you get back to the game without having to use your phone!

That didn't work. There is a difference between ESPN LA and ESPN LA Kings. When I asked to play ESPN LA it played radio 710 and the Kings were not on that. They were only on streaming radio ESPN LA for the last pre-season broadcast.

I will ask my daughter - she's the "Master of Alexa" (and I HATE, HATE, HATE it!!! - yes, I'm turning into an Old Person Who Hates Technology!!)

I'm an old person who loves technology. I use my Echo's every day. It's my alarm clock, my dictionary, my stereo, my movie database, my weather report, my calculator, etc... And for my buddy it's been a godsend for talking to his 90 year old mom every day. He has a video screen echo as does she. She can't figure out her cellphone but she can walk up to her alexa device and say "call Fred" and either connect to his cell phone or his alexa device so they can see each other and blab. Alexa makes tech easy compared to computers and cell phones.

Yeah but it won't skip songs on Spotify after I ask 17 times (I jest - they're awesome for the most part).
