The org has more info about the injury than we do and I’m sure that will help dictate what they do with Fiala’s cap space. And we have no idea what will happen with the roster between now and the playoffs re any other injuries.
I think if the right deal is there the org has to make the deal and worry about the cap if the playoffs happen. I think there is enough dead weight on this roster to find a way to activate Fiala if it comes to that.

Not even worth bringing a guy coming off multiple leg fractures.
Tell him to heal and rehab right with less risk.

Personally have zero interest in Pettersson. Too much term and money and he’s not worth it. I think Vancouver already understands he’s an albatross. And he has a full NMC.

Kevin Fiala suffered a season ending injury in the f*cking Olympics? Seriously?

I'm sure one of the few people on earth thst never watched the Olympics...ironically enough except for the Miracle on Ice...because I was recovering from a head-on car crash when someone crossed the center divider on Roscoe Boulevard and I went through the windshield... I was in bed for 4 weeks which timed perfectly with the 1980 Winter Olympics. Other than that I've never watched an Olympic event in my life.

This is why I hate a mid season tournament of any kind that could potentially injure players on my team.

Jesus it's been a bad few weeks for sports...first that nightmare with my Rams and now this BS.
