FIRE LUC

Bill Hicks

LGK Agitator
He is responsible for this.
By the time this team is close to contention it will have been more then a decade under his leadership.
Talent pool was once promising but that was scuttled (Kopi and Drew gotta own their part in that)

2017/18 - 0-4
2018/19 - missed
2019-20 - missed
2020/21 - missed
2021/22 - 3-4
2022/23 - 2-4
2023/24 - 1-4
2024/25 - 2-4

8 and 20 when it matters.
Wish I could be that bad in my job and not get fired.

Kings should have moved on from Luc several seasons ago. The fact they haven't likely means he is here to stay.

Luc is a company man.
Danny B loves company men.

Danny does not care about winning.
Danny cares about money.

Luc cares about what Danny cares about.

The only way Luc and the entire front office get tosssed to the curb is if fans vote with their wallets.

Stop giving this organization your money.
It’s the only way AEG listens.

The Kings got blown out of the building by Edmonton on Thursday. On Saturday over 18,000 fans showed up for the game against Calgary - the vast majority of fans simply don't care who the coach is or whether they are enabling a losing organization to remain stagnant.

I care - and I stopped financially supporting AEG 20+ years ago. Moog is absolutely correct. AEG only cares about butts in the seats. Until that stops nothing will change

This thread should stay at the top of this board till the end of the season!!!

Keep bumping this thread.

Let the organization know how much the hard core Kings fans are tired of Luc running the team into the ground.

Fire Luc!
Stop supporting this team until they do.

I think Luc will always be able to do a lot of good with the Kings in a PR position... he should not be fired from the organization. However he should never again have any say on player personnel... in that he is useless. He may have no clout in that regard anyway these days... does anyone know for sure? So he should stay a King but I trust the Ice Crew more with player picks than Luc. Maybe lateral move to president of the Team LA store?

Like Marilyn Manson said about Kings coaches and Luc:

Cut the head off
Grows back hard
I am the Hydra
Now you'll see your star

After Luc is let go, do you think all the jerseys will magically turn purple again? Like when Dorothy gets to Oz? Went to crypto store this weekend, oof. Nothing cute. Lakers, Clippers ladies stuff--cute, Kings stuff: a mens shirt that's now a half-shirt (only in black)for some reason?

Wizard Of Oz GIF

Aside: don't wear sports gear, but still...failing everywhere is the point.

Second aside: *laughing* they had 2 Breadman shirts that looked very silkscreened in the back, sold at a bootleg swap meet vibe.

I sure hope color magically returns to the jerseys like Luc's monochromatic "vision" was a curse to be lifted. I'm a bit stubborn but the last jersey I bought was a forum blue in 2011 with Quick's name on it because I swore I'd never buy a black and white jersey (in hindsight I wish I got the black LA one with the 2012 patch as I was at the damn game for posterity but oh well).

So much better than Holy Wood. What a terrible album by him. The other two in the Triptych were masterpieces.

I'm glad someone recognized it :P
I was introduced with Antichrist and loved it immediately and later Holy Wood became my favorite but all these years later I think Antichrist beats Holy Wood out a bit as far as my favorite. Holy Wood is very "f*** me" and Antichrist Superstar is very "f*** you" energy. IDK. I personally could never really get into Mechanical Animals - there's a few good songs on there. Triptych is definitely great though - I remember my introduction fondly. My favorite band however is the Grateful Dead and I enjoy the dichotomy :P Manson's top 5 for sure though.

I'm really not sure the organization cares that much. The kings were bought for what, $140M as an entry to the LA RE market. The team is now worth close to 3 billion, AEG built Crypto and LA live. They own arenas and other real estate the world over. The Kings are a tiny drop in a very big bucket and I'm not sure how much butts in seats really matter to AEG. A few million bucks one way or the other? Pocket change.

This is all very true - except for the last line. Every asset in the AEG portfolio has to at least increase in value while not losing money. AEG is doing the bare minimum to keep this asset viable. If the team was suddenly hemorrhaging money because they weren't performing on the ice AND the fans spoke with their wallets by not putting butts in the seats, the team would suddenly be for sale or looking to move to another city.
