Funny story of destiny

So, my gf and I were planning a trip from Boston to Nashville and we decided to go when the Patriots are there (her team, not mine).
Bought our tickets in May, everything is all set.
Fast forward to July 1st,the day the NHL schedule (unbeknownst to me at the time) was to drop.
I get a text from my son...
"when are you guys going to Nashville?"
"first week of November (Pats/Titans game is on 11/3)."
"You know, the Predators play at home on the 4th, and you're never going to believe who they are playing..."

So I check the schedule and he was right, I couldn't believe it.

Maybe it's a sign that we should move there

If you go there, then you will want to move there. Arena is at the end of Broadway with tons of bars and a few blocks from the Ryman which is just a legendary music venue.

That's the plan as of right now... This is pretty much a scouting trip.

I have been there before, but she never has.

I have several friends from high school who live in greater Nashville and they all love it. I'm hoping she will too.

My Niece and her husband are moving there next week. I'll be a state over to the east. I'm putting the house here in CA up for sale in two weeks. Closed on the house in NC this past June. Born and raised in CA, however decided to start a new adventure in NC Lake Norman area.

Saw our Kings in Nashville in 2012 just after the Carter trade. Great barn with good-natured and really engagegd fans. Had a great time even though we lost.

You started the trend! When I was pulling out of our community today, a new homeowner was moving in and they had California plates. I shipped my car out here last month and the service I used said there is around 8 cars a week moving from CA to North and South Carolina. The problem they have is, nobody is moving back to CA so their truck is mostly empty on the way back.

I shipped my car out here last month and the service I used said there is around 8 cars a week moving from CA to North and South Carolina. The problem they have is, nobody is moving back to CA so their truck is mostly empty on the way back.

Lol yeah I saw some map awhile ago (I can't find the same one) that had lines showing west to east moving and it was like a hilarious spiderweb moving towards the south/east but here's a boring version of the same thing of 2022 (when I moved)

Having said that I visited LA last month (family thing) and I was floored by $7 gas and I forgot what LA traffic was - first time being back in 5 years, though I moved in '17 and we moved out of Oregon in '22 What's funny is people here seem to just be buying every house that pops up - the place next to ours sold 2 months ago - not a person has been there since and it's just empty.

Glad your move seems to have went well, hope you're liking it up there in NC! I fully expect anyone who moved to stay up painfully late watching like I do instead of just waiting until the next day to watch at a reasonable time.

We're gonna suck this year.

I will be staying up, I added a bedroom and full bath upstairs when building the house so I can watch the games without disturbing my wife downstairs. She gets a better nights sleep without me anyway, so it works for both of us. When I get too old to make it upstairs, I have another bedroom downstairs away from the main bedroom, I will move into. I designed the house around the Kings TV late night games, I'm so considerate of my wife's sleep schedule, it's beyond belief.

Very cool fanbase and a very loud barn creating a great atmosphere. Go to Kid Rock's bar Tootsies after as it's a great vibe and whatever you are into is there trust me on that one.
