Before taking off for Quebec City on Tuesday morning, the Kings will take a much shorter trip down the 5 Freeway on Monday evening for a second consecutive preseason matchup with the Anaheim Ducks. It will also mark the final time they’ll play a game on U.S. soil until opening night.
Coming off a 3-2 victory on Saturday — where LA’s projected top line of Alex Laferriere, Anze Kopitar, and Adrian Kempe combined for all three tallies — there will be a different lineup used for the club’s fourth preseason game. Part of the reasoning here is simply timing, as the organization made a bevy of roster moves on Sunday in advance of the Ontario Reign opening up AHL camp today:
Even with a limited number of regular players involved tonight, Hiller will still be looking for his squad to continue building confidence and chemistry with the regular season only 10 days away. However, most of the true camp battles — largely for the fourth line and one defensive spot — will be decided when the Kings finish up training camp in Canada.

Statistically Speaking
— Alex Laferriere has power play goals in back-to-back games.
