How to watch games this year

I keep hearing complaints here and at HF w chord cutters. I don't have any problems watching or recording games on DirecTV w Bally's or Center Ice. Only issue is I don't have Disney Plus so I will miss the ESPN+ games.
Same here with me. I just cannot see how it would be worth joining ESPN+ just to be able to watch 5-6 games.

We have Hulu Live. It has ESPN+. With ESPN+, every Kings game on Bally's is available. We live out of market so your mileage may vary!

I saw on Spectrum that CI is $69.99 for the season. That?s seems a little low right?

If you're out of market, apparently every single game that isn't a nationally televised broadcast will be available on ESPN+.

I have the bundle Disney, ESPN+ and Hulu, and I agree it is a waste of money for 6 games and one show my wife likes on Hulu.

I'm waiting to see how the digital ads look in the Kings games and all the other games too. I watched the season opener on Friday on NHL Network and the CI channels and looked bad. Frame rate is like 30 fps with those ads and the puck disappeared when panning side to side.

FWIW, ESPN+ quality is great. I have no idea what people are talking about on HF. Maybe that is a Canada problem. I dropped CI this year for EPSN+ only (in the mega Disney bundle).

So east coast I should have no problem watching every game on ESPN+, especially the day after? I did subscribe to it, curious how it'll work. From this thread it seems every game should be available live for me since I'm a few thousand miles out of market. Assume trusty VPN will fix any in-market issues -.-

The real question is, will you watch tonight's game in its entirety or will you watch it tomorrow and hopefully nobody text's, calls or emails you the score. This is a good way of staying off your phone.

Definitely can't watch a spoiled game :D We've been going to bed at 10pm for... 3 months now, so tonight might be a challenge.

Some experiences from the new Canadian app - Sportsnet. I played hockey until 10EST so I knew I’d start the game late with the app - no problem - clicked restart game and it did but just before it did it flashed to the current score of 1-0. So that was annoying. By the third I was caught it up. Paused it when it was 1-1. Unpaused a few minutes later it was 2-2. Did not hold the place it was at. Went straight to live. Little things but verrrry frustrating.

The digital ads are terrible, and ESPN + makes you watch ads every break and 6? mins of ads during intermission. Can't skip. That's lame.
