When Tuesday rolls around, the LA Kings will be bringing a heavy dose of rock-n-roll back to Crypto.com Arena for opening night. Helping to ring in the 2025-26 season, Bruce Dickinson — of iconic heavy metal band Iron Maiden — will be singing the National Anthem and leading fans in the traditional Go-Kings-Go drum chant just prior to puck drop between the Kings and Avalanche.

That’s not all, though! We have also confirmed the Kings will be partnering with Iron Maiden on several other initiatives. For example, they’ve secured the rights to the song “Fear of the Dark” for use in their in-game entertainment throughout the 2025-26 NHL season.

Tickets for Tuesday’s game are available here and fans wanting to see more of Dickinson in a rare solo performance can catch his show this Sunday at the Wiltern Theatre. He’s also slated to make a personal appearance at Son of Monsterpalooza in Burbank on Saturday, October 11.

This will become the latest in a series of legendary National Anthem renditions prior to Kings games in Downtown LA. Previous memorable moments by other rock luminaries include a performance by Slash of Guns N’ Roses prior to a Stanley Cup Playoff game and one by Zakk Wylde, longtime guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne.

As for next week’s game vs. Colorado, word is the organization is going all out for a night of more than just hockey — with many surprises and giveaways for Kings fans throughout the game.

Puck drop is set for 7:30 pm. However, do your best to arrive plenty early. There will be a free Fan Fest at LA LIVE prior to that, featuring food, games, live entertainment, merchandise booths, and appearances from Kings alumni and more.

Later in the evening, multi-platinum band Capital Cities will perform live during the first intermission.

Hockey is so close. It’s almost time to officially get things underway!
