It's a Rangers problem, not a Quick problem. Hard to believe how bad that team has fallen over the past two seasons and how Drury (much like Luc) has kept his job.

I watched the game today and Quick didn't look good. But the backup got torched too. I agree with DryKing that it is a Rangers problem. As a non-fan of the Rangers, I love the job that Drury has done. Chase off guys like Trouba and Krieder. Waive guys with NTC's (Goodrow to Sharks) and force guys to waive their NMC and then trade them. He's done a great job of ruining the morale and the team. And then signing Igor to the most expensive goalie contract in NHL history was pure idiocy (not my original thought but stolen from Doug Armstrong... “My view of goaltending is that the floor is closer to the ceiling now and closer than ever before,” Armstrong said of NHL goaltending. “That’s why you don’t see a generational goalie that’s at the top of the league like Brodeur was, or Belfour, or Patrick, or Hasek for a decade. You see players come in and go out every couple of years. That’s just because I think the floor is so high.”)

IMO, Quick should have retired after the VGK SC win. Would have been better for him to go out on a ring winning season (even if he didn’t play in the final).
