After being stapled to the bench for Saturday’s third period vs. Utah, forward Kevin Fiala found himself a healthy scratch on Tuesday in San Jose. In a statement from the team, it was noted that Fiala “will not play tonight as a result of violating team protocol by missing a meeting.”
Earlier that day, coach Jim Hiller stated the two had already talked things out and one of his most dynamic offensive players had a “clean slate” heading into the Sharks game.
