The Kings wanted size, toughness, and playoff experience.
On Monday, they signed 28-year-old UFA forward Warren Foegele to a three-year contract with an average annual value of $3.5M.
He’s a big, heavy winger coming off a career year with Edmonton, where he put up 20 goals and 21 assists, and played all 82 regular season games. He was also one of their better players in the playoffs. With 78 games of postseason action over the course of his NHL career, this is the type of experience LA GM Rob Blake was looking for.
Warren Foegele has reportedly agreed to a 3-year deal with the Kings.

Foegele is one of the rare players to have played both NCAA hockey (University of New Hampshire) and OHL junior hockey before turning pro. Originally selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in round three of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, the Canadian native has played in 431 regular season games thus far.
#GoKingsGo have also signed forward Trevor Lewis and goalie Pheonix Copley to one-year contracts.
More to come.
