Kings Broadcasts in 2023 ???

Hi all,
I just got an email about HBO MAX having live sports. I'm thinking of buying it at $9.99 month. Would I get Kings games or be blacked out?
Looks like it may just be TNT games. Description says 60 NHL games total so it doesn’t look like the Bally’s games are part of it. Even if they were, local broadcasts are almost always blacked out in local areas except for on the local providers.

I'm going into this season not paying for sh*t and we'll see how it goes (east coast). ESPN+ was ok last year, I kind of liked watching in the morning the next day - but 100% of playoffs blacked out was a nail in that coffin, and I don't even know the situation with it now - so here we go internet.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'm sticking with the "not buying sh*t" package. LOL

Only other option is the buy the Bally Sports stream to watch the Kings anywhere... it looks like that will cost $20/month, so not too bad to get your fix of Kings games.

I know people want to save money and such, and fans have been bitching for a standalone choice. Now Bally's has it and it's still not good enough?
You speak the truth. I'm in market and have spectrum so no issue for me, but my buddies in San Diego and AZ are gonna get Ballys stream for Kings and see how it goes this season. Their families are pretty excited about it.

Hopefully it will work in San Diego, but I bet AZ will be out of market and will need Center Ice. This is based on the NESN app info I have gleaned.

Looking at their zip code map, the Bally+ stream will catch all of SoCal... even Calexico and Needles, but not AZ. You can get it all the way north to Mammoth along the 395 but only up to Paso Robles and Bakersfield in the SJValley and coast.

I keep debating whether or not to get NHL Center Ice; I can never find any good info on the ESPN+ schedule for Kings games. In the past, every game that wasn't a national broadcast was on ESPN+. What's been published so far, that is not the case for this upcoming season. But I'd have to pay for the package and then ESPN+ has all the Kings games.

On ESPN+ web page: "Now part of the ESPN+ base-tier subscription at no additional cost. Access over 1,000 out of market NHL games from every team, all season long. Blackouts and restrictions apply." So we'll see.

I had to research this back in the 90s mostly due to me living in Fresno at the time. Fresno was covered by FS-Bay Area but when I signed up with Dish Network back then, they did not have a contract with FSBA but did with FSW so they gave me FSW. I was able to watch the Kings. A few years later, Dish signed a contract with FSBA and switched me. Luckily, the Kings still claimed that area as part of their TV market (overlap area), so I could still subscribe to the regional sports package for $4.99/mo that the time and still watch the Kings. It appears the Kings no longer claim Fresno as part of their TV market.

Anyways, my point is that after researching, it appears the zip code 93600 or less is the cut off for Kings games (at least for satellite providers and probably internet providers too). The cut off in the central valley appears to be the Fresno/Kings/Tulare county line. On the central coast, the dividing line is San Ardo in Monterey County just north of the SLO county line.. Sorry, I just had to nerd out of for a second.
