Kings don't need to win to make money.

As a singular entity, in a vacuum, I do believe they technically need to win to ‘make’ money. Playoff games are pure profit for ownership. However, in this day and age, we all know well enough that mega corporations and conglomerates can use certain ‘losing’ assets to write off against taxes due on the larger operation overall, etc. It’s not like Tesla needs to sell more cars to have a crazy valuation and stock price, but it wouldn’t hurt. Or would it…….? *cue X-files theme music* 🤔

Wow, those valuations are crazy high. It seems like the average team went up by 30-35% last year. I recently watched the Harold Ballard documentary on Amazon and his estate sold the Leafs for $75 million when he died. And the team was valued at $2B when the documentary came out a few years ago. Now they are tops at $3.66B.

RE Kings: They just need to win enough to be a playoff team. That level of success seems to mostly fill the Crypt. And if AEG is doing well enough, then they probably won't make large changes.

So long as fans keep on paying their $$ to attend Kings games, AEG does not care if they win or lose.

When attendance drops, and fans stop buying up merch, then AEG will start to pay attention to "winning" to draw fans (their $$$) back into the Kings coffers.

I think that the Kings being in L.A. keeps them in the top ten value wise even if they were the worst team. Not that I want to find out, lol. :chicken-dance:

But all teams are like that. Look at the Leafs.

Draft Haus closed. I believe they were the only place at Crypto that sold 805. If I'm going to spend $19.00 on a beer I prefer it to be a beer I like.

Crypto has become a cashless "smart" building where we will just grab and go, watch the game, and go home. No more culture, no more fancy slogans, just watered down & robotic experience, and pumping more money into the machine.

not impressed w the site lines. a lot of stuff blocking views up top. sat in 300's and 100's so far for 2 games. not impressed. sorry to see the stapler go away, will always be the stapler for me due to the 2 cups!
