Haha, I wish. I was just thinking of some obscure thing that these endorsement people claim. I should have thought a little bit harder about where we all live... sorry for any confusion.is this true?? super cool! You're famous to me!
(Fun fact: Nyssa42 is an extra in the crowd scenes of LaBamba)
What an amazing career! I’m happy I got to see you spend your whole time in the
NHL as a King. I definitely need fo make it to a game this season. Most likely will be the one in Vegas in February.
back in the day, the Kings players parked in the main parking lot and would always take pics and sign autographs. I've got pics with Kopi, Martin Jones and Jeff Carter somewhere on my computer.I vividly remember going to watch practice/training camp during the early years of Kopi’s career and being a little shocked at how accessible he was.
He’d regularly walk around the facility and through the parking lot without a hint of ego. Always happy to engage with the fans, sign autographs, take pictures and always with a big smile. He just had no sense of how special of a player he was.
Very happy to hear he’ll get a chance to spend so much time with his family to watch his kids grow up. The years move by so quickly and I wonder if he’ll ever get the itch to get behind the bench or into an executive role.
The Edmonton roster really is aging and windows to win only open for a little while, so though they say it every year, this season is truly Cup of Bust for the Oilers. If they still don’t win this year Connor has to look to the future and ask if the team will be better 2, 3, 4 years from now and there’s a real possibility it won’t be.I just don't know if coming to the Kings is better than staying in Edmonton. If he leaves, it will be because Edmonton's roster sucks for winning a Cup. They have Skinner instead of a real goalie and the team is aging. So it is possible that he leaves. But The Athletic did their franchise Contention Cycle today and Kings and Canucks are in the "Time To Rebuild" category (they have Edmonton in the "Window Open" so take it with a grain of salt). But I'd see McDavid leaving for a team on the upswing like NJ or Montreal. I'm baffled the Oilers wouldn't roll the dice on Carter Hart to try and improve the goaltending. But if I'm 97, I prefer Drai and Bouchard to Byfield and Clarke.
Playing in LA would give him anonymity in real life outside the rink which he may really welcome at this stage. However the media market is large enough and the storyline of the Next One trying to do what the Great One couldn’t and win in this city would write itself. Plus Ohtani is here, LeBron came here, nevermind all the other big names from recent memory. Anaheim doesn’t have that.Love this. Then I realize McD can get every advantage of playing for the Kings by singing with the Ducks while surrounded by a younger core with a higher ceiling.
If I’m McDavid I’m looking at the Kings blueline and signing in Anaslime. At least the Ducks have roster flexibility and assets to trade.
