Kings trade for Scott Laughton

So… does the 3rd line now become Laughton centering Byfield and Armia? I liked 12-15-14 just as it is. And only a fool would break up the 4th line now.
 
With his faceoff prowess, this wouldn't be a horrible deal if he was locked up for 2 more years at $1.5 million. A cheap guy to win draws and be good in the room. But he's a UFA in a couple months. What are we doing here? This isn't a "rent with option to buy".

I'd rather just play the kids and see what we have in them as opposed to play Laughton and then try to convince him to stay in June.
 
Center depth. To be honest, I’ll bet Laughton is a better -center- than Byfield, and an equal to(or greater than) -offensive producer- than Turcotte. And he’s better than the both of those scrubs in the face off dot..
 
He had 178 hits last year, 80 games. Also pitched in 31 pts which is fine. Kings can absolutely benefit from seeing what this guy can do as 3C.
