I think I started to bitch about it in the playoffs. This season I bitched about it every time people complained of the power play. I had a fair amount of people disagreeing with me because the 5 on 5 worked for a little bit last year and folks expected it to work again. Some folks agreed with me. Many were happy to let Kempe rot at the point in hopes that great PP from the end of the year would return. It never did.

I was begging for a mobile LHD that could play on the PP so Kempe would not get stuck there.

This Kings team really seems to like retreading back to their 14-15 season performance with all those excruciating OT losses, but with much worse coaching and O. I don't know if I should watch or just flat out write off this team until Hiller is fired. Hell, even if he's fired, we still have Luc and Holland, who are the bigger negative constants than Hiller himself. Seems the Kings just want to toil away under .500 with their lamentably lackadaisical effort in their games. This is just unbelievably pathetic.

We’re going to OTL our way through this season. We won’t be good enough to win but good enough to collect points & make it seem like we’re doing well when we’re not. That’ll take us to the last week or so before we’re eliminated. After which Hiller will be fired when it’s too late to make any difference.

But we did the whole poor playoff performance thing really well already, like 3-4 times!

Only bright thing I can see is if the Kings were winning a lot more of these OT / SO games, they would be higher in the standings but the underlying issues would remain, just better camouflaged. This way, there is no hiding it.
