Englund and Doughty kind of makes sense. Englund is one of the faster skating d-men on the roster so his foot speed could potentially help with coverage while Doughty is playing rover. The issue is Englund’s hockey IQ is very low. He makes the simple plays just fine if he’s got time but when things get scrambled or there’s increased pressure he’s easily confused.
