Hate to say it but you could see that the boys knew there wasn't anything to play for in the third once the other two games were basically settled. Lets get them to Colorado ASAP, time to altitude prep. At least the noon start will make both teams start on weird footing. Thanks to everyone who played along all season in the polls, apologies for the goofups on our end but we got most of them sorted. Congrats to DRice for their unseating of Rusty.

I’ve made peace with this season.
Happy for the strong finish a lot of guys had post Hiller but this squad was never a Cup contender. Let’s see what can be done in the offseason.

I'm already looking forward to next season as well. It'll be weird to go in without Kopi but I am holding out hope management will improve this team over the summer.
I'll watch the playoffs with a measure of acceptance that it'll be another 1st round exit - but I share Deano's sentiment that at least it'll not be the Oilers. I'll have a glimmer of hope that the Kings will be "dragon slayers" these playoffs but that was reality checked with losses to Vancouver and Calgary to close out the season.
