***LA Kings @ Carolina Hurricanes GDT 2/1/25 4:00pm on KCAL Ch9***

Yeah, that's right. LA's losing streak has finally come to an end. Clarke being activated in this game and Hiller making line changes really helped LA and had them win this game. Also, Fiala scoring two goals at the right time was another contributing factor in LA's victory.

Happily I changed my plans. When I woke up I had no intention of watching the game. Then I'm like no way I'm missing a Saturday night Kings game.
Thank you Kings! Not a great road trip but I had this one penciled in as a loss.
I'm glad they proved me wrong

If it was the same bug I had, I'm surprised any of the Canes can stand up, much less skate on ice.
The Kings needed to take advantage of that and come out with energy and attack...and that's exactly what they've done.
Probably just colds, I've had the flu just a couple of times as an adult and when you get it you can't do anything much less bend over and put on skates.

We won, we won, we won! We finally scored some goals. I see we all had faith that Danault would be the first goal scorer. lol. Last season, the win against the Canes righted out sinking ship. Let’s hope it does it again. Go Kings Go!

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed Danault with the first kings goal and/or that it would be scored within 2 mins of 17:57 of the first:

Big congrats to @Byron who was our only poster to pick Danault. Have to say it was strange watching this team with a lead. Not sure how sick the canes really were but it was good to see the boys ahead of the play. Fiala especially, not with the finishing moves, but with the effort to gain steps early and his commitment to drive to the net instead of peeling back to the blue line. The finish hitting the net was huge though.

Three games til the break and a chance to staunch the wounds.

Good OFFENSIVE game by the Kings thank goodness with goals from a lot of dudes who MUST score if we have a chance at even making the playoffs. I was gonna go to this game with the now 7.5 month old (who is in 18 month clothes 😯) but I had a small surgery like 5 days ago.. maybe next year (side bar: I think it's special they don't give out pain meds besides regular strength tylenol after actually cutting into you anymore). I bet she'll be about a year older by then too which is a coincidence if I ever heard one.
