The Hockey Gods must hate the Kings. Who does the scheduling? Still 2-0-2 the last on the last 4. I’ll take that anyday. C’mon boys, get you mojo going. Oh great now Forsberg takes a stupid penalty. Ugh! Can we ever stay out of the box?!?!?!

Well, Chicago negates their PP with a tripping penalty called on them. Jings will be on the PP after the 44 second 4-on-4 situation.

But I don't have hopes for the Jings PP 'cause they suck more than half the time when they're on it.
 
End of 1st period. The Kings played rather sloppy for the most part in the period and let the Hawks get on board with a single goal. While it's only a single goal, the Kings' sloppiness could've resulted in 2 or more goals to the opposing team. Well, we still have 40 more minutes to watch this crapfest.
 
Everything that is wrong with the Kings today has resulted from of a lack of effort, awareness, or both. In other words, they need to suck it up and give 100% for next 2 periods. This is October, not April so being tired is no excuse.

Fox calling “passion” a key of the game is a sign how listless this team is. That the very pro-King broadcast could slip that through feels almost subversive.
 
As usual, Jings have nothing to show for it on the PP. 0 for 2.

Hiller needs to stop utilizing the 4/5-forward strategy on the PP. But unfortunately, with Clarke as the only capable blueliner that delivers O, there's not much of a choice.
