You have to force it with time running out. Not having anyone in front of the net in that situation is incompetence. That was the whole problem with the last two minutes. They kept moving the puck backwards and not shooting. Its not rocket science, you shoot and crash the net.

I mostly agree. I believe Fiala made that pass partly out of frustration because nobody else was where they should’ve been.

Sorry my friends, I really don't want to hear about how we should be appreciative of this game effort. At this point in the season, the only thing that matters is the scoreboard. They've had time to show promise and effort, and the results aren't there. The last thing I want to do is give them good marks for playing one good period that they still found a way to be behind in.

Josh Manson manhandled the Kings all night long and they as usual let him do that without any response what so ever. This should have been the only mission Helenius had, but it’s pretty difficult to make Manson pay when you’re as usual being glued to the bench by our for coach.

I can take losses to far superior teams like Colorado, but I can’t accept them playing like afraid kittens. That’s embarrassing!!

Great game by the Kings. I can't complain about the effort. This is an elite team playing a borderline playoff team and the Kings held their own.

To me the saddest thing about this game was that the only King that could seem to get the puck across the blue line (on the pp) without losing it was a 40 year old CP playing with a bad wheel. The Aves are good but not scary good--I noticed that the other night watching the end of their game with Vegas and Vegas just gave the game away at the end. Let's see how Colorado handles adversity when it inevitably strikes.

The Avs were played down to the competition.
They know the Kings pp is garbage.
Just pressure the puck. The Kings don't / can't pass the puck that creates wide open advantages.
The Avs know that when 55 is in the faceoff off circle - two things are going to happen: He gets kicked out or he loses the faceoff & they just clear it...
which leads me to Drew passing the puck back to....

Had to bail on the game in the third to get to bed for minis planned surgery this morning. Will accept all good wishes and prayers his way. Otherwise the first was a huge push but the second showed a team that hasnt lost in regulation at home for a reason. That team is gud.

When Jim Fox was talking in the 1st about how well the Kings were playing, I said oh no. Famous last words. And of course the Avs scored soon after that. We can say the Kings played well & for the most part they did. But you can’t make the mistakes they did against Colorado & not have he puck go in the back of the nef,

It is actually quite baffling. Mere 1% better than the Kings' PP, they are 26th overall. Huh.
